To force or not to force. What force, you ask? Force voting. You've seen it before. You go to the enter page of an anime site and you see those buttons: Vote 1 Vote 2 Vote 3 and ENTER. You follow the instructions and vote on all 3 topsite lists before entering because it won't let you enter otherwise. Sucks, doesn't it? Takes time, doesn't it? And, the webmaster gets votes even if you didn't mean to vote for them in the first place. Yup. That's the topic today. I know in the other editorial I really dissed sites that force you to vote. And I stand by my statement. Then, you ask, why am I force voting now? Yeah, good question. I feel bad too. I felt that this site had a lot of good original content, but no one knew about it. Sure I get several hundred hits a day. But that's not going to keep me satisfied. Unlike other sites, I won't be keeping the force voting on for a long time. Maybe several weeks to a month. Once more people see my site, I'm sure it'll get more popular and the forced voting won't be necessary. So I apologize for any inconvenience. And yes. After saying all that, I still say sites that force voting suck. And yes, lol, I dis myself. However, unlike certain sites, I'm not putting this forced voting year round. Only a month or so. But other sites make force you to vote year round. Now if you ask me, that's just crap. A bunch of crap. I'm sure if you force people to vote, by 1 year, they'd all know your site URL. And if your site was that good, they wouldn't have to see you high on some topsite list just to go to your site. They'd come back for more. But these sites know that no one would. They know that people would come once, and not ever again. Also, a lot of sites have crappy content but get so many hits through forced voting so they can affiliate with big sites who require a 1000+ hits requirement for affiliation. Pure crap. And no, I'm not done yet. Then there are sites who have pure crap for content and use frames or iframes because they don't know how to use SSI or real HTML or how to make a really good layout. You know what they do? They force you to vote for like 5-10 topsite lists. And that's how they get so high. Once you enter their site, trust me, you'r gone already. I don't criticize sites that are using the forced voting to get known just for a month or so. But 5-10 forced votes per visitor, year round, AND a crappy content? That's just bad. Real bad.
