What are the Dragonballs?: 
The Dragonballs of Dragonball and DragonballZ are a collection of seven crystal spheres numbered 1 to 7 with stars. When all seven Dragonballs are brought together, a dragon appears and grants the summoner a wish. After the wish has been granted, all of the Dragonballs scatter across the globe and cannot be used again until a certain time later. Because there are different sets of Dragonballs, the number of wishes varies from 1 to 3 and the time between successive summonings varies from 130 days to one year. However, when the creator of a set of Dragonballs died, the balls was instantly turn to stone and cannot be used until a successor can take the creator's place and revive the dragon. When the creator of a particular set of Dragon Balls dies, the balls instantly turn to stone until a successor can take his place and revive the dragon.
In Dragon Ball GT, the appearance of the Dragonballs is very different from those used in Dragonball and DragonballZ. These Black Star Dragonballs or Ultimate Dragonballs have some rather different properties from the other Dragonballs. First of all, these Dragonballs are scattered across the entire universe after being used-not just around the globe. Also, these Dragonballs put so much strain on the planet they are used on that they must be returned to that plabet in one year or the planet will be destroyed. Because the wishes granted by the Black Star Dragonballs are so powerful, wishes granted by this set of Dragonballs cannot be reversed by other Dragonballs.
Kami's Shenlon: Home Planet: Earth Creator: Kami Creation Story: Kami wanted to give the humans of Earth something to work towards so he created Shenlon for them. Unfortunately, most people who were able to gather all seven dragonballs often misused their wishes. When Piccolo Daimao kills Shenlon, Kami only revives the dragon for the sake of good people like Goku. Wishes Allowed Per Summoning: 1 How Often the Dragon can be Summoned: every 1 year. Abilities/Limitations of the Dragonballs: -can wish as many people as desired back to life at once. -a person can only be wished back to life once. -death or destruction cannot be wished upon an individual or place. -the dragon must be stronger than the person or thing that he is affecting with the wishes. -wish must be made in English. Dende's Shenlon: Home Planet: Earth Creator: Dende Creation Story: After Piccolo and Kami merge, Dende is chosen as the new guardian of Earth. Because Earth's Shenlon was killed when Piccolor and Kami merged, Dende is asked to revive, and at power to Shenlon. After the Cell Saga ends, Dende also takes the time to power up Earth's Dragonballs a little more. Wishes Allowed Per Summoning: 2 (Cell Saga) 3(Buu Saga) How Often the Dragon can be Summoned: every 1 year. Abilities/Limitations of the Dragonballs: -can wish as many people as desired back to life at once. -a person can be wished back to life as many times as desired. -death or destruction cannot be wished upon an individual or place. -the dragon must be stronger than the person or thing that he is affecting with the wishes. -wish must be made in English. Guru's Polunga: Home Planet: Namek Creator: Guru Creation Story: Guru, the father of all Nameks, formed Polunga in his dreams. Not much else is known about Polunga's origin. Wishes Allowed Per Summoning: 3 How Often the Dragon can be Summoned: every 130 days (1 Namekian year). Summoned by the Phrase: "Takkarato Popporunga Pupirittoparo". Abilities/Limitations of the Dragonballs: -only one person can be wished back to life at a time. -a person can be wished back to life as many times as desired. -death or destruction cannot be wished upon an individual or place. -the dragon must be stronger than the person or thing that he is affecting with the wishes. -wish must be made in Namekian. Muri's Polunga: Home Planet: New Namek Creator: Muri Creation Story: After Guru's death, control of Namek's Dragonballs were given to Muri. Once Muri mastered the power of the Dragonballs, he supercharged them. This made them even more power than the Dai-Kaioshin himself. Obviously, the Dai-Kaioshin wasn't too happy when he learned this. Wishes Allowed Per Summoning: 3 How Often the Dragon can be Summoned: every 6 months (1 New Namekian year). Summoned by the Phrase: "Takkarato Popporunga Pupirittoparo". Abilities/Limitations of the Dragonballs: -can wish as many people as desired back to life at once. -a person can be wished back to life as many times as desired. -death or destruction cannot be wished upon an individual or place. -the dragon can affect any being in the universe with the wishes. -wish must be made in Namekian.
